Magnet Application Process

Wake County magnet schools are designed to create well-rounded students by challenging them with programs tailored to their strengths and exposing them to new experiences. Innovative and pioneering programs challenge students to think creatively and analytically to solve problems, while diverse student body populations enable students to learn and see things from a different perspective. Wake County magnet schools provide students with the tools they need to see things differently.

Magnet Objectives: Magnet Application Process:

The magnet and year-round school application period will begin October 15, 2020, and end January 28, 202 1 . Applications are not first-come, first-served . Who is eligible to apply- How they prioritize your student's application to multiple schools-

Families can apply to more than one school, including applying to multiple magnet and year-round choices. You should know that applications are prioritized based on the type of school.
